A matching gift is a corporate giving program that allows an employee’s donation to a nonprofit to be matched—often dollar for dollar—by their employer. It’s an easy way to increase the impact of your gift at no extra cost to you.

Many companies have matching gift programs, but not all employees are aware of them. You can use the search tool on this page to find out whether your company offers a matching gift benefit and learn how to submit a request.

If your employer isn’t listed in the tool, it doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t offer matching gifts. We recommend contacting your Human Resources (HR) department directly to ask if such a program exists. You can also share our information with them and encourage them to consider participating.

Eligibility varies by company. Some companies only match donations made to specific types of nonprofits or within a certain time frame. Use the tool on this page or check with your HR department to understand your company’s guidelines.
